Part 3. The family story
On a Sunday morning, I call Mom on Skype. She is babysitting nephew. Several days prior, I called for Mom’s birthday, from work, Skype on my cell; the connection was bad, and then it broke and I went back to work.

Taking a bike to work turns most of the commute into a pleasant holiday (and, secondarily, a justification to renounce the gym)
About half way into the 7.5 mile bike ride, it looks like this and it smells like eucalipti
On the land side, there are trees…
…and grasses
… and bucolic views
On the bay side, I ride by a marina
Sail boats go out on a sunny day, San Francisco in the background
Marine layer sometimes cuddles the earth…
..or teases San Bruno Mountain
…or slithers with Canada geese, as the sun gets ready to rise on a winter morning
Not to be taken for granted.
