In the movie “Amelie”, the protagonist discovers an old “treasure” box in her Paris flat. Adventures ensue.
What you have in front of you, reader, is a box akin to that.
A few years ago, at a point of inflection and reflection, I was going through my scribbles. Some pieces stood out.
They expressed love and appreciation for people or circumstances, often bygone, that have affected me often unexpectedly and persistently. They were never shared with the object. Sometimes because the object was gone. Sometimes because it wasn’t physical. Sometimes because I didn’t dare.
I started putting those love letters in this box. I kept adding new ones. Now you found the box. Look inside.
